What's New
So Earl passed us by with hardly a hint of the category four hurricane he was. We went to the beach the evening he hit (along with a ton of other people) and saw the waves, which were slightly bigger than normal. That night we were prepared to last a couple days with no electricity. But all we got was some wind and a little bit of rain. The next morning was beautiful and we've had wonderful weather since. We went to the beach later and the storm surge had really raised the water in the salt marshes and the intercoastal waterway. The beach was the same except that there were a lot more shells and there were huge puddles at the foot of the dunes (shows how high the waves got) and in the puddles there were coral, sea urchins, lots of shells, trash, and star fish. We spent a good long time dredging the puddles to find all the treasures of star fish and sea shells. Now everything is back to normal. We've re-started school and are spending a lot of time outside, learning everything we can. Just yesterday Spencer and a neighbor got 'deputized' by a police man. It was fun and they have special badges they wear so that they can pull us over on our bikes when we speed. The garden is growing amazingly well; we have a cantaloupe, a zucchini, a couple miniature pumpkins, and lots of marigolds. That is what's happening in the Truman house.
