Here Comes Earl!
Thanks to hurricane Earl, that catagory 3 hurricane, there is now a tropical storm warning. (Which is better than a hurricane warning, as those closer to the Outer Banks have.) Luckily it looks as if the hurricane will touch land north of us and give us only a little wind and water damage. It will get windy, and a couple of inches of rain will fall tonight. The hurricane will pass over us sometime tonight. The local schools have declared a late-start on Friday, and seminary is canceled. We have our water and food supplies just in case the electricity goes out. We've brought everything outside in, and were surprised to see that it all fit. Yesterday was sunny, today has been overcast, and some drops fell, and right now the wind is blowing pretty strong. Now all we can do is wait and watch and listen to our radio (although our internet is still on, and is a lot faster.) Updates will be provided as events happen.
