Family Pictures

Our grandparents sent us a book yesterday that teaches you how to take pictures of your kids.  It's very informative and it even notes: Kids have been taught (hopefully accidently) to paste a grin or a frown on their face every time a camera comes into view.  Every time we try to take family pictures, this fact is reinforced.  Sometimes we get good pictures, sometimes bad, and sometimes nothing's wrong with it except it's blurry.
On Tuesday, Emily decided we'd have a picture day.  She and Katie looked outside and found some places to take pictures in and that afternoon got everyone dressed.
Katie posed Emily and took the picture
Katie posed herself.

Everyone trekked to the back lot where most of the pictures were taken.   Emily, Jessica, and Mom all took  the pictures unless noted.  Here are some of the results:

This is probably our best family portrait.
Emily

"Oh look- I wonder why my arm is dissapearing?"

I love to climb.

Jessica taking pictures.

"This is so frustrating!"

Football!

Oh yea

Cute Katie

"I can fly!"  All the boys are avid tree climbers.  They have invented a game where you are not allowed to touch the ground; you climb trees and try to get the farthest from the starting tree.

The Truman family

Everyone pretended they were on a rocket-ship log.

Katie forgot that she was in church clothes.

David really enjoyed having his picture taken that day, even though he was acting silly.

His favorite thing to say is, "I'm a lucky boy!" Usually he says this right after throwing a fit and then deciding that he liked whatever he was crying about.

A budding photographer.
